Southgate Club Jazz Night

Really impressed with the New River Dixielanders,  all professional musicians,  if you can pass our thanks to rest of the band. Absolutely wonderful, sorry I had to leave early and I think this will catch on.

It was such fun to see you there and people jigging around on the green. We have an upcoming event at Leamington Spa that may interest you.

Lewis of London Ice-cream Farm

It was so good of you to come down during covid lockdown and entertain our customers in the garden. We have had a few people asking when you would be back as they missed you last time!

Enfield Town Market

Enfield Town Market was one of the many markets that had been hit financially because of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown of 2020. The Dixielanders were pleased to be able to bring some live music back to the town. These are just some of the great comments we received on social media.

Wonderful.
Such an uplifting mood.
Great to hear live music.
It certainly put smiles on people’s faces

Mike’s 80th Birthday Party

Mike is a founder member of the East Anglian Railway Museum. He had seen us perform before at one of their recent open day events and as a result booked us to play at his 80th birthday party. The band set up alongside a vintage passenger coach in an engine shed especially decorated for the occasion. We had a great time meeting his family and friends.

I’m glad you enjoyed it, we certainly did. Look forward to seeing you at the Museum again soon.

North London Hospice – Big Fun Walk

We have had the pleasure of performing at the finish line of the North London Hospice Big Fun Walk twice. The event is a sponsored walk from their building in East Barnet to Westminster Abbey in central London. They wanted a lively band to entertain the walkers at a picnic after their long trek. We also drew a large crowd of tourists outside the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre eager to learn more about the event.

The New River Dixielanders performed at the finishing area of the Big Fun Walk, North London Hospice’s biggest event, and we would definitely book them again. They created a celebratory atmosphere playing uplifting and energetic tunes which everybody loved. Phil was incredibly helpful, professional and easy to work with which makes all the difference when managing a large event. All of the musicians played with great skill, energy and sensitivity to the occasion and location. Our walkers, staff and even tourists who happened to be passing by, were tapping their feet and smiling in the bank holiday sunshine during their sets. We look forward to hopefully working with them again in the future.

London’s Royal Free Hospital

We have performed at London’s Royal Free Hospital on many occasions to raise money and to entertain the patients and staff. We have played outside the main reception area, in the foyer and in the main corridor. Because of our compact size and professional skills we were able to keep walkways clear and the volume under control. On one particular occasion we performed at a special party on the ward for patients with dementia. Our lively music can lift the moods of people in often stressful situations.

Your performance at the main entrance changed the experience of so many people coming through the hospital, and I hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did. You also raised over £300 so on behalf of the Royal Free Charity, a massive thank you!

Karen and Philip’s Wedding Reception

One of our very first performances was for Karen and Philip’s wedding. They wanted a small band playing lively music to entertain their guests before the meal at their wedding reception. Because of our flexible set-up we were able to meet their needs and everyone had a wonderful day.

Hi, just a quick note to say thanks to you and your band. Our wedding at the Coltsfoot was great and you really set the atmosphere. Thanks again for everything.
